This fall, H&M is bringing Jimmy Choo, an iconic British luxury accessory brand, especially for H&M designed collection to selected stores nationwide. No longer the fashionistas-on-a-budget would be admiring Jimmy Choos collections from far – clothes and accessories in a price range of $49 to $249 will be now sold at H&M, but expect the sell-out as it happened with Matthew Williamson, Kate Moss and Madonna’s collections.

Jimmy Choo is a Malaysian fashion designer based in London who became known for its hand-made women's shoes. Designing shoes has been always in the family – he is coming from a family of shoemakers and made his first shoe when he was just 11 years old. Jimmy Choo's beginnings can be traced back to 1986, and two years later he became famous after Vogue featured his shoe creations in 1988. Princess Diana was one of his earliest customers, further promoting his high-end shoes.

A favorite of celebrities around the world, including most stylish girls in television – the cast of Sex and the CityJimmy Choo is now making shoes, bags, clothes and accessories for men and women available at a low-end clothing and accessory store line H&M on November 14, 2009.

Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez – just to name a few, have chosen Jimmy Choo for red carpet appearances many time before. The H&M collection by Jimmy Choo has been inspired by the punk chick and rock’n’roll glamour of the early 80s. Think Debbie Harry (of Blondie) and Chrissie Hynde (of the Prenteders). And as Tamara Mellon, the label’s Founder and President, points out: “These are going to be perfect party pieces to buy now and wear the same night.”

Electric blue, red, midnight blue, anthracite, black and Jimmy Choo’s signature grey leopard pattern will be the dominating colors of the collection.

A proud owner of 700-something pairs of shoes, Jimmy Choo, who is more known for her shoe designs than clothes and accessories, swears by having both heels and flats, with the perfect shoes that work equally with a pair of jeans or an evening dress.
